Boa Constricter, Designer Redux

Without going into too much details as to the reasons, I have been recently motivated to find a way to vent. I realized Shel Silverstein’s poem Boa Constricter lent itself to the task. The redux after the jump, but first her unchanged words.

Boa Constricter
by Shel Silverstein

Oh, I’m being eaten
By a boa constrictor,
A boa constrictor,
A boa constrictor,
I’m being eaten by a boa constrictor,
And I don’t like it–one bit.
Well, what do you know?
It’s nibblin’ my toe.
Oh, gee,
It’s up to my knee.
Oh my,
It’s up to my thigh.
Oh, fiddle,
It’s up to my middle.
Oh, heck,
It’s up to my neck.
Oh, dread,
It’s upmmmmmmmmmmffffffffff . . .

And the redux…

Oh, I’m being eaten
By a marketing firm,
A marketing firm,
A marketing firm,
I’m being eaten by a marketing firm,
And I don’t like it–one bit.
Well, what do you know?
It’s nibblin’ my logo.
Oh, gee,
It’s misquoting my copy.
Oh my,
They must be high.
Oh, fiddle,
Sounds like more dribble.
Oh, heck,
They’re after my designs next.
Oh, dread,
It’s upmmmmmmmmmmffffffffff . . .
